A service covers engine oil and filter, fluid levels, brakes, tyres, suspension, lights and a road test, and you get told what we found in plain words. What a service actually covers
Oil and oil filter first, because that is the part doing the most work and the part most often left too long. Then the filters that affect how the engine breathes and how you breathe.
After that it is a proper look underneath. Brake pads and discs measured rather than glanced at. Suspension and steering checked for play. Tyres read for wear pattern, because the pattern tells you about alignment and suspension, not just about the tyre. Every fluid level and condition. All the lights. Then a road test, which is where the faults that hide in a workshop tend to show up.
Minor or major
A minor service is the routine one. Oil, filter, fluids, a full inspection and a road test.
A major service adds the items that come due on a longer cycle. Which ones depends entirely on your car and how far it has done, so we look at the book before we quote rather than selling you a package.
If your car is still inside its manufacturer schedule, what you want is a logbook service, which is a different thing and has its own page.
What you get back
A report on what we found, sorted into what we fixed, what needs doing soon, and what is worth watching. No work happens beyond the quoted service without you saying yes to it first.
If something is worn but safe, we will say so and tell you roughly how long you have. You can decide when to spend the money.

How long does a service take?
Most routine services are a same day job. Drop it off, we ring you when it is done. If we find something that needs more time we call you before we start on it, not after.
Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?
Ring first. The workshop runs on booked jobs, so a car that arrives unannounced waits behind the ones that are expected.
Will servicing here affect my new car warranty?
No, provided the service follows your manufacturer's schedule and uses parts of appropriate quality. That is the position under Australian Consumer Law, and we have written it up properly on its own page.
